(NEWS) Egypt Bans Israeli Planes From Taba

"The dispute and the banning of the use of Taba airstrip by Israeli pilots is the first incident of its kind since the 1979 peace treaty.

Egyptian weekly 'Rose Al-Youssef' reports that the Civil Aviation Authority has banned Israeli planes from using the airstrip at Taba in Sinai, adjacent to Eilat.

Israeli airlines sometimes use the Taba airstrip when traffic is heavy, in severe weather conditions, or for emergencies."
