(TECH) Intel Top Company To Work For In Israel

"Intel Israel is the best Israeli high-tech company to work for, according to the BDI-Coface 2009 Best Companies to Work For in High Tech index, published October 28.

Hewlett Packard Israel was in second place, while IBM Israel kept its third-place ranking. Google Israel slipped two places to fourth place, while Motorola Israel rose to fifth place.

SAP Israel is in sixth place, Microsoft Israel was in seventh place, Elbit Systems in eighth and Amdocs in ninth.

RAD Data Communications rose ten places to tenth place this year, bypassing Cisco Systems Israel and Comverse Technology, neither of which made it to the top ten, after both firms fell ten spots in the rankings from last year.

BDI said that, despite layoffs, and an average pay cut of 7.5% per employee, high-tech employees were satisfied at their workplace. They also prefer to work for multinational companies rather than start-ups.

BDI noted that during 2008 scores of high-tech companies cut thousands of jobs in response to the economic crisis and while there has been a recovery trend this year, salary levels have not been corrected to the levels before the crisis." (source)
