(TECH) Israeli Security Door Factory Bought By World's Top Door Maker

"Masonite International Corporation, the world's largest door manufacturer, has acquired the Israeli security door factory Seventech for $5.3 million. Sales from the plant are expected to exceed $3 million a year.

The Canadian company is to rename the facility Open Gallery Safe. It already has a 35 percent share of the local market and its doors have Mul-T-Lock advanced locking mechanisms that are certified by the Standards Institution of Israel.

The company will employ 42 people and manufacture finished steel doors for the Israeli market and unfinished steel doors for export to Masonite factories in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania.

Masonite already owns an Israeli company, Etz Carmiel Enterprises and its subsidiary Open Gallery, and recently invested to upgrade Etz Carmiel's factory to produce decorated and clear entrance and interior doors. The company considers Etz Carmiel Enterprises to be one of its flagships.
Masonite has 79 plants in 18 countries, including six in the US and France which specialize in the manufacture of steel doors." (source)
