(BLOG) Neturei Karta: The Lost, Confused & Deluded Jews Of The World

WARNING!! If you are a Neturei Karta supporter or follower, this may be offensive to you, I advise you to continue reading...

Neturei Karta which means "Guardians of the City" is a Haredi Jewish group formally created in Jerusalem, Palestine, in 1938, splitting off from Agudas Yisroel.

Neturei Karta opposes Zionism and calls for a peaceful dismantling of the State of Israel, in the belief that Jews are forbidden to have their own state until the coming of the Messiah.

They are mostly concentrated in Jerusalem, but also in and around Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet near Jerusalem, and Bnei Brak. Most others associated with Neturei Karta can be found in London, New York City, and other parts of New York, with smaller communities in various cities around North America.

The Jewish Virtual Library puts their numbers at 5,000 only in Jerusalem. The Anti-Defamation League estimates that fewer than 100 members of the community take part in anti-Israel activism.

It is this role that Neturei Karta see themselves as fulfilling by defending what they believe is "the position of the Torah and authentic unadulterated Judaism."

Neturei Karta is sometimes confused with Satmar, due to both being anti-Zionist. They are separate groups and have had disagreements.

Neturei Karta not only denounces Israel's existence, but traditionally embraces its adversaries.

Neturei Karta believes that the exile of the Jews can only end with the arrival of the Messiah, and that human attempts to establish Jewish sovereignty over the Land of Israel are sinful. In Neturei Karta's view, Zionism is a presumptuous affront against God.

Rabbi Moshe Hirsch, who was a leader of the smaller and more radical group within Neturei Karta, has endorsed Yasser Arafat, the Palestine Liberation Organization and later, the Palestinian Authority as the rightful rulers of the Land of Israel, which includes the modern-day State of Israel. Other Jewish groups, including anti-Zionist ones, have criticized this alignment, describing it as condoning or even abetting Palestinian political violence or using Palestinians as a tool for the destruction of Israel.

In March 2006, several members of Neturei Karta's radical branch visited Iran where they met with Iranian leaders, including the Vice-President, and praised Ahmadinejad for calling for the State of Israel to be "wiped from the pages of history."

My Opinion

After reading this, you may be thinking to yourself "they dont sound so bad", well part of it would be true however most of what they say is not ultimate truth and is only believed by them and no other religious Jews living in or outside of Israel.

Their belief that the State of Israel should not exist is not written anywhere in the Torah (Jewish Bible), which is of course the main source which every religious Jew follows.

They not only give other Jews a bad name, they actually call for the destruction of Israel which would mean the death of any and all Jews living here as well as Israel's Muslim and Christian population.

This is NOT a respectfully religious belief to me, in fact it is a fanatical as radical Islam itself...

If every religious Jew in the world, including them, believes that EVERYTHING is a part of God's plan, then the State of Israel too is a part of His plan.

Believing that the State of Israel should not exist is one thing but praising the killing of ALL people living in Israel is a whole other ball game, there is no justification in this at all, I certainly dont want to be massacred due to someone else's delusion...

Every video I have seen of them being interviewed is usually a complete joke as they NEVER directly answer any logical questions which is posed to them, this does not only annoy me and others too but it also makes me trust them less and adds to my suspicions and thoughts of what their intentions are...

Here is a recent video clip I found of Rabbi Dovid Weiss who was being interviewed in the US while protesting at a Pro-Palestinian / Anti-Israel rally. Note how he seems quite intelligent by the way he speaks without hesitation, however most of what he is saying makes no sense and when being criticized or questioned he doesn't allow them to complete what they are saying or answer their questions with a logical response...

I do agree with what the last guy said to Dovid Weiss, I just dont think he would ever admit that this is true... Its a new world and they are living in the old world, its time to get real...

This sect of Jews do not speak for the rest of us and we do not identify with most of what they believe to be true, they only give the rest of us a bad name...

Here they are seen burning an Israeli flag in protest of the US and UK sponsored Zionism.
