The show uses colorful markets around the world to present local culture, cuisine and musical traditions. The 13 episodes in the first season were devoted to markets such as Istanbul's Great Bazaar, Mumbai's Crawford Market, Bangkok's Jatujak Weekend Market and Marakesh's Bazaar. Three episodes were filmed in Israel, highlighting the markets in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Acre and Jerusalem.
Beginning in September, National Geographic Television will air Market Values on its channels in France, Belgium, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
Ananey manager for international business Sigal Shaldag told Globes, Israel's financial daily, that shooting is underway for the second season of Market Values.
'We're proud that National Geographic Television has bought Market Values. It is important in these times that the world sees Israel through more than just CNN, and also sees Israel's beautiful markets.'
In February of this year the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) also purchased the series, to air on some of its channels in Asia." (source)
