(NEWS) PA, Israel Cooperate Against Pirate Radio

"Palestinian security forces safeguard Israeli official in West Bank visit to pinpoint pirate radio station.

For the first time since the IDF and Palestinian security forces began working in partnership, Palestinian police took responsibility for the security of an official Israeli ministry representative in the West Bank town of Qalqilya.

The Civil Administration had received information that a pirate radio station broadcasting from the town was interfering with the control tower at Ben Gurion International Airport. The Civil Administration rapidly contacted official PA representatives so that they would handle the problem – and the PA soon reported it had closed the pirate station."
