Less than a week before Gilad Shalit's 24th birthday, the captive soldier's grandfather released an open letter to the prime minister and warned him that every day his grandson spends in captivity is a threat to his life. The grandfather on Tuesday told Ynet he decided to wrote the letter following his previous correspondence with Netanyahu, which ended with a promise by the prime minister that he would raise the issue during his upcoming visit to the United States."
