Israel's government stoked public anger in April when customs agents at Tel Aviv's Ben-Gurion airport began confiscating iPads from arriving passengers, saying the tablet computers could interfere with other wireless devices.
The Communications Ministry had banned the import of iPads, saying they did not meet European standards adopted by Israel for wireless use of communications frequencies."
