(EDU) Israel Offers Scholarships For South Korean Students

"The Israeli government is accepting applications for their scholarship programs.

The scheme provides funding for foreign students who want to study in Israel during the academic year 2011-2012.



The different types of scholarships offered include summer language courses known as 'ulpan,' funding for one academic year or research scholarships.

The applicant must hold at least a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of sciences, have a good record of academic achievement, must be a South Korea citizen and under the age of 35.

Applicants must also prove their knowledge of the English or Hebrew languages.

Also, the applicant should meet the academic requirements of the Israeli University that they apply to.

Scholarships will be approved only after the required institute approves the acceptance of the candidate and will be granted only for university or 'ulpan' programs approved by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

All relevant information needs to be printed in English and submitted to the Israeli Embassy.

Date for the submission of application forms is no later than Nov. 30.
