(NEWS) Gaza Lawmakers Reject Peace Talks

"GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- The Palestinian Legislative Council in Gaza affirmed on Tuesday during a parliamentary session their rejection of the soon-to-be-renewed direct talks between the PLO and Israel.

Lawmaker Khalil Al-Hayya warned Fatah against 'involvement' with Israel during the negotiations set to resume 2 September, which would indicate that they had 'sold out the Palestinian cause.'

Al-Hayya also urged Fatah to do a 'serious political and intellectual review' of the negotiations process and to give the priority to reorganizing internal Palestinian politics and reconciliation.

Other lawmakers spoke out against PLO's involvement in the talks." (source)
