(ARTS) Israeli Reality Show Being Pitched In US Market

"American production house Stone & Co., led by producer Scott Stone, who produced such reality hits as 'The Mole', has acquired domestic rights to Israel's top rated cable reality series of all time.

'Connected' is a series focusing on five women and how they handle the relationships with their significant others. All the women are given hand-held cameras to chronicle their experiences. Participants chosen reportedly all have some sort of storytelling experience. This combines with soap opera style storylines make the show a hit in Israel, and Stone is now pitching the show to networks in the United States.

If the show is picked up by a network, 'Connected' will not be the first series that originared in Israel and got a makeover for American television. HBO's 'In Treatment', Fox's 'Traffic Light', and Showtime's 'Homeland' are all based on shows that originated in Israel.

The series recently began airing its second season in Israel, focusing on five men as the storytellers." (source)
