(NEWS) Egyptian Minister: Iran Military Capabilities Threat To Arab States Not Israel

"Egypt's Minister of State for Military Production Sayyed Al-Meshal, said that Iran's military capabilities do not represent any threat to Israel, but represent a definite threat to the Arab countries as Iran has been interfering in the Arab region's affairs.

Meshaal said that Iran's growing military ambitions have increased hostility against tehran by many countries, especially Western powers who wish to stop the Iranian armament. In his comments to the members of the Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists, he said that if Iran was on its way to a nuclear weapons, that poses a great danger to the Iranian nation and to the entire Middle East, pointing out that if Iran produces missiles with ranges up to 3000 kilometers, this will force all European countries to take take practical steps to stop the expansion of the Iranian military.

Meshal went on to say that Iran has never fired a single shot at Israel since 1948, pointing out that the Iran backed Lebanese Hizbullah militia has announced, through its secretary general Hassan Nasrallah during the recent Israeli war against the Gaza Strip, that his organization was not a party to that battle, adding that Hizbullah did not use a single rocket against Israel at that time."
