(TECH) Israel’s N-Trig May Provide The Multitouch For The Google / HTC Tablet For Verizon

"Chrome OS or not, the much anticipated and rumored Google tablet that would be manufactured by HTC and sold by Verizon could employ some nifty touchscreen tech from N-Trig, an Israeli company that has made such displays for the likes of Dell, HP and Lenovo.

This is the rumor of the day regarding the tablet that now apparently has the codename gPad. That may, of course, end up being the name under which it will be sold as well. Or not.

It is perhaps a bit ironic, if this rumor is true, that Microsoft has invested in N-Trig, but then again, there was never an exclusivity arrangement between the two companies. N-Trig’s tech is integrated into Windows 7. N-Trig has been known for creating displays that can respond to the touches of multiple fingers at the same time."
