(TECH) Technion 38th Among World's Top Technology Universities

"Israel Institute of Technology moves up two slots from last year, is ahead of most European universities. President: We achieved this respectable position despite government's sharp budget cuts.

The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, was ranked 38th among the world's top universities in technology, according to Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China, advancing two spots since the 2009 rankings. The Technion leads almost all European engineering-technology universities in the rankings.

The top 15 positions in the general ranking (which includes all academic fields) are held by American universities. Massachusetts Institute of Technology is in the top spot, followed by Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley."
