"The writer references George Washington's farewell address, which requested that our new nation recognize the rights of other nations.
However, the Palestinians are not a nation, have never been a nation, and, if they do not stop devoting all their energies to destroying Israel instead of helping themselves to a better economy, they never will be a nation.
U.S. aid to Israel is a significant amount. It is natural that we help our friends. However, most of this is returned to the U.S. as both hard goods manufactured in Israel or research, which significantly helps the U.S.
On the other hand, the "friends" and brothers of the Palestinians have expelled them from their own countries and have locked them in camps to be used as pawns in a battle to remove the forward-looking Western influence of Israel.
Israel, on the other hand, has offered more help to these beleaguered people than all the rest of the wealthy Arab nations. She has done this while absorbing countless refugees.
I am sure this little island in what was once desert is more interested in its own well-being. It does not want to spend either its energy nor its young people, nor its limited resources, repelling a bellicose enemy." (source)
