"Prime Minister calls wording of oath essential in light of 'offensive' being conducted against Israel as national home of Jewish people.
Any oath of loyalty to the state that would be required of new citizens must define Israel as 'the nation state of the Jewish people which grants full equality to all of its citizens,' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday.
At the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said the wording was essential in light of the 'offensive' being conducted against the legitimacy of Israel as the national home of the Jewish people."
