"U.S. Congressman Todd Tiahrt (R-Kan.) joined with U.S. Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.) to introduce legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives that will protect the unconditional right of Israel to defend itself.
The America Stands with Israel Act is directed at the United Nations Human Rights Council that passed a resolution calling for an investigation into Israel´s interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla.
In addition, the bill calls for the United States to withdraw from the U.N. Human Rights Council and terminates all taxpayer funds to the U.N. that would be used in the investigation of the flotilla incident."
