Douglas Kear Murray, is a British freelance journalist and political writer from Lewis, Scotland.
Having been appointed in April 2007, he is currently the Director of the Centre for Social Cohesion. The CSC is an independent think tank that studies radicalisation and extremism in the UK. It has produced work analysing and critiquing both Islamist and white supremacist extremism.
Douglas Murray was the winner of the 2009 Charles Douglas-Home memorial prize for journalism.
This debate, titled "Are we too critical of Israel?", took place on BBC and the panel for the Israel debate included Edwina Currie, not exactly a heavyweight political commentator, Deborah Hollamby, a former nun, and Douglas Murray.
