Gaza fruit dealers have given their Israeli suppliers a long list of goods they want now the blockade has been eased. It includes expensive specialty fruits as cherries and lychees.
Gaza fruit dealers told representatives of the Israel Fruit Growers Association that they have many well-off customers willing to pay the NIS 20-NIS 25 per kilo that such luxury items go for. They also asked for larger quantities of summer fruits such as peaches, nectarines and plums. The Israeli farmers said they would have a problem meeting demand due to a sharp drop in crop yields as a result from a warmer than usual winter."
My Opinion
If there are that many rich people in Gaza willing to pay that much for fruits by the kilo, then why do they not rather help their own people in the same way that Israel does...
