"Mubarak orders construction of nuclear plant on Mediterranean coast.
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has instructed the government to start building the country's first nuclear power plant at a site on the Mediterranean coast, ending a year of controversy.
Mubarak's decision puts an end to attempts by business tycoons with strong ties to the ruling family to build sea resorts on the el-Dabaa site. The whole coast is known for its attractive beaches."
My Opinion
I guess people will be wondering why Egypt will not be sanctioned to have a nuclear plant - its really simple....
They have not threatened anyones existence like Iran and Syria have...
They have a peace agreement with Israel and the US, however this does not mean they will just be ignored as you never know who the next president of Egypt will be and what his intentions will be, ie: Gamal Mubarak, the son of Mohamed Hosni Mubarak who may be of concern for Israel...
All of those wackheads out there that shout out "what gives Israel the right to be nuclear but no one else in the Middle East....blah blah blah"...
Well this is the part where they will have to take their foot out of their mouth as Israel has never said that no other country should be nuclear in the Middle East, only the ones that threaten its existence or the existence of others...
If you are one of those people then I hope you feel stupid right now for saying that or just wait and see :)
