My Opinion
Thats 2 wins by default in a week period - First was the Taekwondo competition that the Iranian backed out of as his opponent was Israeli which gave the Israeli the Gold medal and now this...
It humors me that they are willing to back out of a competition against Israel instead of showing their possible dominance by trying to at least beat Israel in the competition which would give them another reason to say "see Allah was on our side again"...
My guess is that they are well aware of the embarrassment they would face if they lose against Israel in a sporting event, besides the fact that the Taekwondo champ would have most likely won anyway, we have the top fighters in the world when it comes to full contact martial arts...
I think its super childish to not want to compete against Israel due to political reasons - they could have had the chance to show us "who's the boss"....possibly... ;)
