(VIDEO) Christian Zionists Unite For Israel

Thousands of Christians joined together with Jewish leaders to show their support for the nation of Israel as part of the annual Christians United for Israel Summit. Organized by pastor and televangelist John Hagee, the CUFI summit boasts plenty of big names—this year, they include TV host Glenn Beck, former US Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren.

A Film Unfinished....Continues Today

NOTICE: This article I submitted won in the semi-finals of the Pro-Israel blog-off competition.

During Yom Hashoah this year I managed to watch the latest documentary on the Nazis titled "A Film Unfinished", it inspired me to write this article. It is about a 60 minute reel of raw footage that was discovered in an East German archive labeled "Das Ghetto" and which portrays the life of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto of 1942. The film not only shows the life of Jews within the ghetto, but it deliberately intends to show the extreme differences between rich and poor Jews. The differences, however, had all been staged to service the needs of the Nazi propaganda machine.

To quote parts from the documentary trailer: "In 1942, one of the only known films of the Warsaw Ghetto was shot. Scenes of Jewish life were documented. For decades after World War II, this footage was presented as truth. Until 40 years later, when a missing reel was discovered..."

"This is the story of a film that was never completed. A film designed to service propaganda for the third Reich, that empire that knew so well to document its own evil."

"Let the world see what a paradise the Jews lived in."

In short, the documentary exposes the methods in which the Nazis intended to show the general German population and the world how "well" Jews were living in the Ghettos, even though the scenes were staged, and then to show how the Jews that were living "well" did "not care" about the poor, starving or already dead Jews at all... Other staged scenes included leaving dead bodies out in the streets and then having "rich" Jews walk past the bodies and not even budge an eyelid or show any concern, as though Jews do not care that the dead lay in their streets... Next they would show scenes of the "rich" having a proper Jewish burial as opposed to the poor who were just dumped into mass graves one on top of the other, to "show" that Jews do not value the lives of the poor...

It then moves to another level whereby they intended to show the world the "barbaric" rituals of Jews with regards to circumcision, keeping in mind that the Germans of the time and most non-Jews did not circumcise their babies, so seeing this could easily disgust people and lead them to believe that Jews are inhumane, primitive and barbaric in our practices...Furthermore, they showed staged scenes of poor religious men in a Mikve, naked, with "rich" women who were also naked, in an attempt to portray our religious practices as though they involve orgies of some sort, of course men and women do not go into a Mikve at the same time or place and there is no such religious practice that involves orgies of any sort...

Once the Nazis had convinced the general German population that the Jews were living "well" in the ghettos, this would ease the minds of the Germans to not ask any further questions, moreover once they convinced the Germans that Jews were "inhumane and barbaric", this would be a reason for them to exterminate the Jews and therefore have the support of the country to do so...

(I urge you all to watch this documentary!)

Now let's fast forward to current times.

Here are some short examples of the continued use of anti-Semitic propaganda, I say short because I could literally write a thesis with the full amount of propaganda that is currently out there...

Pallywood & The Paparazzi

The use of visual propaganda rose up again with the invention of "Pallywood" and other forms of visual propaganda which I will go into in a moment...

Pallywood is a coinage used to describe alleged cases of "media manipulation, distortion and outright fraud by the Palestinians and other Arabs ... designed to win the public relations war against Israel." It was publicized by Richard Landes who produced a documentary titled "Pallywood: According to Palestinian Sources"...

The documentary exposes the staged scenes which the Palestinians were setting up with the intention of misleading the media and the world into believing that a situation was far worse than it actually was and/or also staging violent situations that were entirely made up and acted from beginning till end... All "media" coverage was done by freelance photographers and cameramen not official news sources...

Examples of this included the "Muhammad al-Durrah incident" where a staged scene was set to make as though the IDF had deliberately fired upon and killed Jamal al-Durrah and his 12 year old son Muhammad al-Durrah... This was filmed by a France 2 freelance cameraman but France 2 deliberately left out a very important part of the video which was discovered and debunked by "The 2nd Draft" in this video... The part that was left out was at a point where the boy was supposedly already dead yet he quickly peeks to see what he needs to do next...

The articles went viral about this incident all around the world, BBC reported "Boy becomes Palestinian martyr", The Guardian reported "Making of a martyr", the list goes on yet even after the multitude of evidence provided including that of C.A.M.E.R.A.'s investigations, there are still media centers and blogs recalling the incident as an act of the "evil Zionist regime" to this day... Youtube is infested with the original edited and unanalyzed version of the video and pictures, with titles such as "The cold blooded murder of 12-year old Mohamed Al-Durrah" and "The murder of 12-year old Mohamed Al-Durrah that shook the world", Facebook too is overwhelmed with tribute pages and remembrance pages on this incident and while this incident has already been debunked and hopefully laid to rest it is still and I quote "Israel's greatest PR failure" because no matter whether the IDF was involved in this or not, the damage is done!

This well executed (no pun intended) plan made Israel look bad just as much as Nazi Germany was fated to be successful, and even if the intention was later discovered to be fake, false or misdirected, the initial image always sticks in peoples’ minds especially one of disgust… and no matter how much proof we can later offer that debunks the incident, it will never convince people who have already been convinced enough by seeing the first video…. anything else becomes a conspiracy theory or a cover-up to them…

This one incident became an icon of hatred towards Israel, all the Muslim countries had postage stamps honoring al-Durrah, Daniel Pearl was killed to avenge his "death", Osama Bin Laden used the incident to incite before 9/11 and streets, squares & academies have been named after him... Al-Durrah was even referred to as "a tiny sleeping Jesus" - [Al-Quds, May 25, 2001] - He became a poster child for the Intifada...

Pallywood strikes again and again...

"Jesus was Palestinian", "the Palestinians are Jesus"

Palestinians have gone as far as claiming that Jesus & Moses were Muslim Palestinians and that Abraham was the first Muslim Palestinian, the use of self-propaganda became a powerful influence on the people to justify their own existence, history and heritage and in turn to make Jews look bad once again for supposedly "killing Jesus their Messiah" as well as making the claim that we are all "fake Jews" except for the "Hebrews or Israelites"...

Attempts to fabricate their own history to convince people that they are descendants of "Jesus the Palestinian" have gone as far as calling Jesus "the first Palestinian Shahid – Martyr for Allah," [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, January 17, 2005]... Now whether Jesus was technically called a Palestinian or not, because this area was known as Palestine, the fact is that they are rewriting their own history as a direct connection to the Jewish Jesus which is of course impossible... Palestine was only named Palestine 136 years after Jesus' death as part of Rome's plan to cut the Jews' ties to their Land of Israel... Palestine was made up of Palestinian Jews, Muslims and Christians. Palestinian is not a culture, religion or race of people, at least not the same as the Palestinians that we know of today...

Quotes such as the following are drummed into the minds of the Palestinians:
  • "We must not forget that (Jesus) Messiah, may peace be upon him, is Palestinian, the son of Mary the Palestinian, who is sanctified by hundreds of millions of believers in this world." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, November 18, 2005]
  • "It was quite natural that the Palestinians rose to save their sanctuaries [in Nazareth] without anyone thinking there is a difference between a Christian and a Muslim… since in the Palestinian situation, the lord Messiah [Jesus] and his mother [Mary] are both Galileans and Palestinians …"[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 9, 2006]
  • "The Palestinian Galilee village of Kfar Kana takes pride in the fact that in [the village] the Palestinian Messiah succeeded to turn water into wine." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, December 14, 2004]
  • "…And a child from the De’haisha refugeecamp will shout: "Yes, we have won, just as the prophets and [Jesus’] Apostles won," and the shahids will cry, ‘We shook the palm trees alongside Lady Earth and the lady of the people, the Virgin Mary, and with her son the first Palestinian Shahid." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, January 17, 2005]
  • Artist: "Our struggle today against the other side is an eternal one. It can be said that it started 2,000 years ago and continues until today. I demonstrate this through the figure of Jesus… The Israeli soldiers are wearing army uniforms while Jesus has nothing except for the truth. When they searched him at the entrance of Jerusalem, they found a stone, a piece of bread and fish and he was cuffed. This is the Palestinian from the beginning of the struggle until the end." [PA TV, July 21, 2000]
The mere belief that these people are of a heritage and descent that they are not, becomes a major problem when they have convinced the rest of the world, who actually believes them, that everything they say is true because they believe it with such conviction... This then reassures the Pro-Palestinian mob that "Palestinians" definitely have ancestral rights to this land and possibly others, dating back to the times of Abraham, Moses and Jesus... this fuels the support for the Palestinians "struggle" to get "their" land back...

The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion

"The Protocols of the Elders of Ziyon is a fabricated document; its content is demonstrably fictional in its entirety. It was originally produced in Russia between 1897 and 1903, possibly by Pyotr Ivanovich Rachkovsky, head of the Paris office of the Russian Secret Police, and unknown others. It is a fraudulent, anti-Semitic text purporting to describe a Jewish plan for achieving global domination."

This famous piece of propaganda was used continuously to demonize the Jews and is still in use today, the so called protocols have even been published online by many anti-Semitic websites such as JewWatch.com and BibleBelievers.org.au...

Youtube has its fair share of propaganda videos "exposing the truth" about Jews by using the Protocols as a tool to convince people of the Jewish and Zionist "conspiracies" such as world domination, mass media control, control of the banking systems and more... Facebook is no different... It is sadly amusing what these people come up with... So far only a few have put in the effort to debunk this hoax...

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum stated the following: "In 1921, the London Times presented conclusive proof that the Protocols were a "clumsy plagiarism." The Times confirmed that the Protocols had been copied in large part from a French political satire that never mentioned Jews -- Maurice Joly's Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu (1864). Other investigations revealed that one chapter of a Prussian novel, Hermann Goedsche's Biarritz (1868), also "inspired" the Protocols."

Here is a list of some of the times this book has been used for propaganda purposes:
  • 1920: The Protocols were published in Poland, France, England, and the United States. These editions blame the Russian Revolution on Jewish conspirators and warn of Bolshevism spreading to the West.
  • 1920: Automaker Henry Ford's Dearborn Independent published The International Jew, an Americanized version of the Protocols to which he later apologized for doing so. It is available online to read.
  • 1933: Adolf Hitler made "good" use of it, he published 23 editions of it before World War II began.
  • 1935: A Swiss court fined two Nazi leaders for circulating a German-language edition of the Protocols in Berne, Switzerland.
  • 1938: "Radio priest" Father Charles E. Coughlin serialized the Protocols in his newspaper, Social Justice.
  • 1960: The Protocols were featured in an article published by Salah Dasuqi, military governor of Cairo, in "al-Majallaaa", the official cultural journal.
  • 1974: The Protocols were published in India under the title "International Conspiracy Against Indians".
  • 1974: Idi Amin, the President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979, cited the book as evidence of a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world, and as justification for his self-proclaimed plans to destroy Israel. He reveals this in an interview during the documentary "Idi Amin Dada".
  • 1985: An English-language edition of Protocols was published by the Islamic Propagation Organization and issued in Iran.
  • 1997: The Protocols become a best-seller in Syria, it was exhibited and sold at the Damascus International Book Fair. It was then reprinted in 2004 and 2005.
  • 1999: It's been made available on Amazon to purchase since 1999.
  • 2002: Egyptian satellite television broadcasts a 41-part miniseries "Horseman Without a Horse", which is based largely on the Protocols.
  • 2003: A 30-part television miniseries called "Al Shatat (The Diaspora)", produced in Syria, was broadcasted on Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV. The series depicts a “global Jewish government,” as described in the Protocols.
  • 2003: An exhibition of holy books of monotheistic religions at the Alexandria Library in Egypt includes a copy of the Protocols next to the Torah. UNESCO issues a public denunciation of the Alexandria Library exhibition.
  • 2004: The Protocols are published in Okinawa, Japan.
  • 2005: "Al Shatat (The Diaspora)" airs in Jordan during the festival of Ramadan.
  • 2005: A Spanish-language edition of the Protocols, published in Mexico City, says that whether or not the Protocols are authentic, history shows that Zionists intend to dominate the world.
  • 2005: An edition of the Protocols was authorized by the Syrian Ministry of Information, claims that the Elders of Zion coordinated the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.
  • 2006: Saudi Arabian schoolbooks contain explicit summaries of the Protocols as factual.
  • 2008: Hamas Libel: Protocols of the Elders of Zion - Jews Planned The Holocaust.
  • 2011: The Charter of Hamas explicitly refers to the Protocols, accepting them as factual and makes several references to Freemasons as one of the "secret societies" controlled by "Zionists".
  • 2011: It's also available online to read.
The list goes on and will continue to go on as a powerful propaganda tool against Jews, Israel and Zionists!

Israeli "Apartheid"

Since the term "Israeli Apartheid" was invented, vast amounts of anti-Israel campaigns increased in numbers with intent to directly compare the real South African Apartheid regime to the current Israeli regime... It was in fact stated back in 2004 by UN agent John Dugard that the Israeli "Apartheid regime in territories is worse than in South Africa"....

"In a 2007 report, United Nations Special Rapporteur for Palestine John Dugard stated that 'elements of the Israeli occupation constitute forms of colonialism and of apartheid, which are contrary to international law' and suggested that the 'legal consequences of a prolonged occupation with features of colonialism and apartheid' be put to the International Court of Justice. South Africa's statutory research agency the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) stated in a 2009 report that 'the State of Israel exercises control in the [Occupied Palestinian Territories] with the purpose of maintaining a system of domination by Jews over Palestinians and that this system constitutes a breach of the prohibition of apartheid.' In 2010 United Nations Special Rapporteur for Palestine Richard A. Falk reported that criminal apartheid features of the Israeli occupation had been entrenched in the three years since the report of his predecessor, John Dugard." (source)

The so-called "Israeli Apartheid" libel has spawned campaigns such as:
Once again the list goes on a mile long... Prominent Palestinians, Jewish anti-Zionists, South Africans, Americans and Europeans have been at the forefront of these campaigns.

In 2010 "Over 200 concerned Israelis, many of them of South African origin, attended a panel on 'Combating Israel’s Delegitimization: Debunking the Apartheid Myth'" - Many others have put in the efforts to debunk this myth, people such as Dr. Mitchell Bard and David Horowitz who has been at the forefront of campaigning against the "Israeli Apartheid" libel and also an Israeli Arab woman and man decided to speak out against this myth...

Yet no matter how many of us attempt to debunk this myth, the damage is already done... The usual suspects, Youtube and Facebook, are of course overwhelmed with propaganda footage and campaigns of how Israel is supposedly an Apartheid regime, even Enrique Iglesias agrees...

This has become the "latest and greatest" tactic to use in the fight to delegitimize Israel by demonizing Jews who support Israel, Zionists, Israelis and well truthfully any Jews in general too but many will argue that they "love" Jews but hate Israelis or Zionists, which is true for some, but many who are actually anti-Semitic, hide behind the "political correctness" of being anti-Zionist rather than anti-Semitic...

Illogical arguments in support of Israel being an Apartheid state usually go something like "Jews are against Israel's occupation and against Israeli Apartheid"- this to them translates into meaning that because some Jews are against Israel and do believe that Israel is an Apartheid regime that therefore the majority of Jews and Israelis MUST be wrong... Many a time I have seen this line used and it holds no weight when it is analyzed properly, it is a meaningless argument like saying "some Americans hate America because of the Iraq War therefore America is wrong and should be put on trial"- As absurd as this sounds, people use these as arguments all the time in defense of their belief that "Israel is evil"... This is a direct result of the "Israeli Apartheid" propaganda that is out there...

I used to live in Apartheid South Africa, I grew up there and witnessed many incidents of real Apartheid on a daily basis. I now live in Israel for many years and I can assure you that there is no Israeli Apartheid, there never has been and never will be! During the Apartheid we, as Jews, were not allowed to go to certain places such as country clubs where they had signs stating "No Blacks, No Dogs, No Jews", you will never see a sign in Israel preventing an Arab whether Muslim or Christian from entering, not even at the Western Wall (Kotel). Perhaps I am hallucinating when I go to the shopping mall and see well dressed happy Arabs in the same shopping malls that I go to or when I visit the Tel Aviv University and see many Arab students & professors walking around the campus without being hassled by anyone... Yet people will then argue that it is the Palestinians who are suffering from the "Apartheid" due to the wall but this too makes no logical sense because Palestinians are not a part of Israel AT ALL, they have their own governing body, laws, rules and regulations to follow that have nothing to do with Israel in the least... they are no different to Jordanians or Egyptians in that they are not a part of Israel so therefore have to pass through border control points anyway if they wish to enter & exit Israel, what is the difference? Every border has a fence, this particular one has a wall, where is the difference besides cosmetically? Even Egypt has a wall on the border of Gaza but that is "apparently" acceptable...

All of this propaganda sparked off the "Boycott Israel Campaigns"

"The Satanic Talmud & The Synagogue Of Satan & The Zionist Illuminati"

Another new, or maybe not so new, form of anti-Semitic propaganda is the comparison between the TalmudKaballah and Satanism / Devil Worship as well as a continued belief (Protocols) that the Jews are actually the Illuminati who hide behind the world and seek to control it or who have been controlling it for thousands of years like puppet masters... It has gone viral!

While no one is really sure who first came up with this preposterous idea that Jews are Satanic or members of the so called Illuminati, but the conspiracy theorists out there have really got the hang of this one and have managed to "convert" many an ignorant person into believing this total nonsense....

An example of one such person is "Brother Nathanael" who is an Orthodox Christian street evangelist that warns people of the dangers of the Jews being in control of the world... He started the "Brother Nathanael Foundation" and also runs the notorious "Real Zionist News" blog and interestingly enough was supposedly born a Jew but converted to Christianity to escape from the "evil claws" of Judaism... His Youtube videos, of which he has many, show him explaining why he left Judaism and how to break the Zionist power... His followers have been led to believe that all Jews, except ones that convert to Christianity, are evil Satan worshipers and must be stopped... As candid as he looks, speaks and acts is as dangerous as this man actually is...

Our next person who took a stab at convincing people that Jews are Satanic is "Andrew Carrington Hitchcock" who is the author of "The Synagogue Of Satan" and who has also managed to have his book published and made available for sale on Amazon...

I won't go too much into these 2 deranged people but I will say that they have both influenced the minds of ignorant people in many ways... For one Texe Marrs, the author, was inspired by Andrew Carrington's Synagogue of Satan as well as Youtube, once again, is full of "proof" that "Jews are evil Satan worshippers"...

These 2 people have opened the door to many Christian fundamentalists who believe that the Jews killed Jesus as well as white supremists, to enhance their belief that Jews are, yes I said it again "evil Satan worshipers"... I cannot begin to tell you how many arguments I have had with these people online to try get them to see the ridiculousness of this belief of us being what they claim we are...

I need not go into detail on the claims of Jews being "The Secret Covenant of the Jewish Secret Society Known As the Order of the Illuminati", there is just way too much out there on this topic as well...

I am sure you get the point of all of this by now but I did feel the need to go into as much detail as I did above so that the people out there who may not be aware of all of these things, as much as I am aware, can at least get a taste of the very real "Unfinished and continued" use of anti-Semitic propaganda that the world has to offer on a daily basis, at the click of a mouse and also for entertainment...

All of the above examples are propaganda tricks and fabrications of the truth that are used only to re-assure people’s anti-Semitic approach or to convince "new recruits" in the same way that the Nazis used false films and other methods to convince their own people that killing the Jews was the right solution... Today it is no different, whether it means killing the Jews or destroying Israel, there is no difference whatsoever... Israel is a Jewish homeland, always was and always will be and the need that these people have to destroy Israel is directly connected to the reality that Israel is Jewish, no other reason whatsoever can excuse the need for all of the above, even Yunis al Astal, a member of the Palestinian Authority parliament agrees...

The film unfinished continues today....

(NEWS) Holocaust-Denying Bishop Threatened With Expulsion

"Bishop Richard Williamson hired a lawyer linked to neo-Nazis, claimed Jews were not gassed during World War II.

A Catholic bishop who denied the Holocaust is facing expulsion from his traditionalist order for hiring a lawyer linked to the neo-Nazi movement.

The Society of St. Pius X said it ordered Bishop Richard Williamson to fire the lawyer, who was to represent him in an appeal next week of a German incitement conviction for saying in a TV interview that he didn't believe Jews were gassed during World War II."

(NEWS) From Church To Anarchy To Neo-Nazism To Yeshivah

"A young man's fascinating journey from attending Church to anarchism then on to neo-Nazism and finally to Yeshivas Tiferes Menachem of Segate.

Recently Rabbi Shmuel Reich of the Chabad Jewish Enrichment Center of Clearwater FL provided a 'Hatafas Dam Bris' for a Jew whose mother converted to Christianity before he was born, and arranged for him to go study in Yeshivah in Seagate for 3 months.

This is an amazing story and it goes like this: Aryeh Yehudah Jacobs was born and raised in Clearwater FL, and he is related to one of the wealthiest Jewish families in the Tampa Bay area which built many thousands of homes in the area. However, the Tampa Bay area also happens to be the worst area of assimilation in America, particularly Clearwater. (Martin Grossman grew up in Clearwater.) His mother`s family was a normal Jewish family which only went to the reform Temple once a year. When they grew up, her sister was looking for religion and she ended up converting to Christianity, then she convinced her sister – Aryeh Yehuda`s mother – to do the same.

Aryeh Yehudah was born after his mother converted, his father isn't Jewish. His mother would take him regularly to a church led by none other than a 'Pastor Nuessbaum' – go figure, and he always subconsciously rebelled against it. Through this rebelliousness against Christianity he got involved with anarchist, death metal, and neo-Nazi groups which eventually led him to prison. In prison he discovered that he is Jewish through another prisoner who told him 'if your mother was born Jewish than you are absolutely Jewish', and that’s what really got him interested in learning more about Judaism. Through Rabbi Mendy Katz of 'Aleph', and Rabbi Shmuel Spritzer of 'Reaching out', he received Jewish material while in prison, as well as Rabbi Yossi Eber of Chabad of West Pasco who helped him out upon his release.

Recently he came back home to Clearwater where Bhashgacha Pratis he met Rabbi Reich, who – as mentioned above - provided him with a 'Hatafas Dam Bris' whereupon he received his Hebrew name 'Aryeh Yehudah', and soon after he arranged for him to study for 3 months in yeshivah 'Tiferes Menachem' of Segate. Aryeh Yehudah wants to live his life as a good Jew. He also wants to visit Israel, and grow in Yidishkeit one day at a time!" (source)

(NEWS) Holocaust-Denying Bishop Hires Neo-Nazi Lawyer Ahead Of Germany Trial

"Richard Williamson, planned to stand trial over questioning the scope of the Holocaust, hires member of far-right NPD part after previous lawyer pulled out the case.

British Bishop Richard Williamson has appointed a radical right-wing lawyer to defend him in a German trial over his denial of scope of the Holocaust, Spiegel news magazine reported Saturday.

The lawyer, Wolfram Nahrath, is a member of the far-right National Democratic Party (NPD), the magazine wrote. He also led the Viking Youth, a neo-Nazi organization modeled on the Hitler Youth, until it was banned in 1994."

(BLOG) Should Academic Free Speech Accommodate Holocaust Denial?

"By Richard L. Cravatts: If you scratch a Holocaust denier long enough, you may reveal an anti-Semite, but not always. You will, however, probably find someone like the morally repellant Kaukab Siddique, a Pakistani-born, tenured associate professor of English and journalism at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, who seemingly puts great faith in conspiratorial dramas in which a crafty and all-powerful enemy—in this case, Jews—weaves an oft-repeated claim that six million of their people were exterminated just to elicit the world's sympathy and promote Zionism and the creation of Israel.

Siddique has been embroiled in an intellectual firestorm, largely of his own making, since his paroxysms of hatred toward Israel were exposed in a video taken during his appearance at a Labor Day rally in Washington and posted by The Investigative Project and reported on by the Christian Broadcasting Network.

In vitriol-laced language that unfortunately is not at all uncommon these days from the professoriate and many of their impressionable, like-minded students, Siddique was filmed crying out to the crowd at the September 3 event: 'I say to the Muslims, ‘Dear brothers and sisters, unite and rise up against this hydra-headed monster which calls itself Zionism.’' More troublesome than this spectral horror of creeping, pernicious Zionism was Siddique’s exhortation to the receptive audience that Zionism itself was an aggressive, dangerous ideology that must be extirpated. 'Each one of us is their target and we must stand united to defeat, to destroy, to dismantle Israel,' he said, 'if possible by peaceful means.' [Italics mine]

This grotesque anti-Israelism, of course, frequently animates the thinking of broad swathes of the West’s intelligentsia, who, obsessed with Third World victimism and a virtual cult of Palestinianism, think nothing of calling for the destruction—by boycott, divestment, de-legitimization, even armed resistance—of Israel, a sovereign nation, American ally, and the single democracy in the Middle East.

But Siddique, it has been revealed since this recent furor began, has an even more pernicious intellectual defect which calls into question, not only his academic credibility, but his very qualifications to hold tenure at a university at all. Because linked to his invidious attitudes about Zionism, Israel, and Jews, Siddique also plays a leadership role in Jamaat al-Muslimeen (JAM), a 'radical separatist Islamist' group based in Baltimore that focuses its limited intellectual resources on spewing forth anti-Jewish conspiracy theories and engaging in Holocaust denial. At an August meeting of this inspirational group, for instance, Siddique spoke to the rapt attendees and touched on the same theme of his that was revealed in the D.C. rally, namely, the treachery of Jews and the boundlessness of their power. 'We're under the grip of a Jewish Zionist power structure in this country,' he told the audience, and further suggested that one reason Jews were able to obscure the sins of Israel and exploit the Holocaust for material and emotional gain was due to the existence of the dreaded 'Zionist-controlled media.'

When asked about his D.C. rants concerning Zionism and Israel, Siddique was quick to assert, as many crypto anti-Semites are, that he, of course, harbored no enmity towards Jews, only towards pernicious Zionists and their brutal, illegitimate, rogue nation, Israel. In fact, he has previously asserted that JAM is 'not against the Jews as a collective,' and the only reason 'we are against the Jews [is] because they have usurped Palestine and they take interest on loans and have built up the exploitative economic structure,' collectively blaming Jews for being rapacious thieves who not only stole Palestinian lands for economic gain, but then used those ill-gotten gains to further manipulate the world economy—a well-worn anti-Semitic trope.

It is one thing for a tenured professor at a modern university to have negative attitudes towards Jews and Israel. It is altogether a more serious matter when a member of the professoriate, as is the case with Siddique, thinks that his academic free speech gives him moral cover to delve into the intellectual netherworld of conspiracies, historical distortions, and full-blown Holocaust denial. In a now widely-circulated email thread on the crackpot conspiracy-theory web site Rense.com, for example, Siddique revealed that his world view creates conspiracies as a way of explaining the unfolding of historical events; his is a pessimistic and frantic outlook, famously characterized by historian Richard Hofstadter as 'the paranoid style' of politics, which shifts responsibility from the self to sinister, omnipotent others—typically and historically the Jews.

Thus, in his incoherent ramblings on the site, he suggested that the Nazis were not actually that harmful to European Jewry, a point he attempted to prove by grotesquely and cruelly suggesting that '[t]he German behavior was so good that Elie Wiesel (the arch holocaust propagandist) left Auschwitz WITH the retreating Germans when the Russians advanced towards the camp.'

And besides, Siddique continued, was it not the Jews’ own propensity for ill-doing that brought on justifiable Nazi anti-Semitic inclinations? In Siddique’s feverish imagination, those negative feelings did not, at any rate, amount to a genocide of a whole people. 'The Jews,' he wrote, 'as in America today, controlled the entire economy. German leaders made powerful speeches against Jews but that does not amount to holocaust [sic].'

In fact, Siddique concluded, the 'Holocaust is a hoax,' so those who still speak about it should 'Get over it!', since there 'is not even ONE document proving the holocaust [sic],' an assertion that might come as a surprise to the archivists at the U.S. Holocaust Museum and Memorial, as one example, which owns some 51 million pages of documents and 121 million images cataloguing the exact Nazi atrocities Siddique denies ever occurred.

And then in a particularly odious bit of moral relativism, Siddique commits the intellectual parlor trick of grafting onto Israel the Nazi-like crimes he has just finished asserting never happened, again maligning Jews for their perceived omnipotence and power, and Israelis for their crimes against the innocent Palestinians. 'Notice that Jews wiped out entire PALESTINIAN villages,' he wrote, contrasting this behavior from that of Hitler, 'but failed to hide the atrocities in spite of their control of the media.' Even worse, Israel’s brutal occupation and militancy continues to oppress the Muslim world and then accuse the victims of the crimes Zionist themselves perpetrate. 'In Palestine,' Siddique wrote, 'we Muslims can see how you Jews operate. You kill, rape, destroy, build your cities on our villages and then use your media to label us as terrorists.'

If the victim status of Israel—and by extension, all Jews—can be diminished by exposing the lie of the Holocaust, which is what deniers dedicate themselves to achieving, Palestinians become the more aggrieved victim, a people victimized by former victims, the Jews, who spread the lie of their own suffering for material ends. It is not without irony, of course, that while Siddique, not to mention many other anti-Israelites in the West, wants to rob Jews of the piece of dismal history that brought about the extermination of six million of their people, they are eager to regularly repeat the vile comparison they draw between the perceived behavior and shared values of the Jewish state and the Nazi regime. How better to cause the greatest hurt and to speak the gravest criticism than to deny or minimize on one hand that the Nazi atrocities and slaughter ever took place, and then to suggest, that if they did, the people reborn of that fire have descended morally to the same moral level as their former tormenters?

Does it matter if a tenured professor expresses personal opinions, no matter how odious and controversial, and are they not acceptable under the notion of academic free speech? Well, yes and no. With great regularity, academic imbecility and fraudulent scholarship has been substituted for reasoned inquiry on our campuses, and, observes Michael Rubin, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, 'academic freedom is meant to protect scholarship, not replace it.' Nor does 'free speech ... absolve anyone from professional incompetence,' Rubin says,' which is the heart of the matter in a conversation about Professor Siddique and his qualification to be part of a community of scholars where certain ideas and theories simply do not deserve nor warrant academic discourse.

More seriously, Siddique’s chronic Holocaust denial, his calls for the destruction of Israel, and his demonization of Zionism, Israel, and world Jewry should be of enormous concern to Lincoln University officials. Far from being 'a concerted act by the extreme right wing aligned with Israel to destroy someone who spoke out against them,' as Siddique himself characterized the reaction to his odious opinions, his ideas have to be understood as blatantly anti-Semitic, and expressive of raw Jew-hatred, regardless of his own attempt to excuse it as mere criticism of Israel.

In fact, if one applies the working definition of contemporary anti-Semitism, produced in 2005 by the European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), to Siddique’s core ideologies and attitudes, the anti-Semitic nature of his speech and thought is quite clear. EUMC’s definition, specifically, describes behavior as anti-Semitic when an individual makes 'mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective;' denies 'the fact, scope, . . . or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany . . . during World War II;' and accuses 'the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust,' all of which animate Siddique’s lurid writing and speaking.

Even absent Siddique’s moronic denials of the Holocaust, his obsession with and criticism of the perceived power of Jews in controlling the media, manipulating U.S. public policy to further the interests of Israel, having involvement in the attacks on 9/11, not to mention his characterizations of Jews as being treacherous, underhanded, duplicitous, and avaricious—all of these notions, when put into speech or writing, not only rise to the level of what has been deemed anti-Semitism under the EUMC guidelines, but should be of grave concern to administrators at Lincoln, a historically black university which receives significant state funding from Pennsylvania.

Putting aside the fact that Lincoln’s own code of conduct forbids 'any conduct or behavior that is disrespectful, absurd and rude,' and despite the fact that the university has now distanced itself from comments and beliefs Siddique expressed publicly but outside of the campus walls, there should be universal denunciation of the professor’s whole belief system, riddled as it is with the darkest and most vile of pathologies and hatreds. Tenure comes with some clear responsibilities, not the least of which is to be an intellectual and moral partner with the academic community with which one has made a professional contract. Saying that is acceptable for a professor to harbor delusional, primitive attitudes about the Holocaust and Jews as long as he only utters his calumnies off campus and not as part of his teaching in the classroom is disingenuous at best, and a craven way that university officials try to excuse the inexcusable in some of their tenured intellectual brats.

This case also exposes a startling double standard that is currently prevalent in academia when it comes to who may say what about whom. Either because they are feckless or want to coddle perceived protected student minority groups in the name of diversity, university administrations are morally inconsistent when taking a stand against what they consider 'hate speech,' believing, mistakenly, that only harsh expression against victim groups needs to be moderated. When other groups―whites, Christians, Republicans, heterosexual males, Jews, for example―are the object of offensive speech, no protection is deemed to be necessary.

Lawrence Summers, for example, lost the presidency of Harvard for merely suggesting out loud at a closed lecture that the reason women had traditionally not excelled in science and math might be due to genetic differences in the sexes. That is a theory that feminists found repugnant and unacceptable to even utter, but it is certainly not as fantastical or delusional as suggesting that the Holocaust is a fable. And more relevant is Lincoln’s own reaction, or lack thereof, to Siddique’s anti-Zionist invective at the rally and the subsequent revelations about his Holocaust-denying hobby. Was it not for the waves of criticism coming from Pennsylvania officials, Jewish groups, and others, Siddique’s behavior would have continued without comment, and no introspection from the university community would likely have occurred at all.

Imagine for a moment that it was discovered that a tenured professor at Lincoln was 'outed' as being a white nationalist, and his postings were sprinkled on the pages of a hate site such as Stormfront.org in which he railed, as visitors to that odious site do, against the dangers of non-whites to white culture, the harm that non-whites do to society through criminality, high birthrates, and low morals, and the overall superiority of the white race to other, lower forms of human existence. Would any member of the Lincoln community care whether or not that professor brought those vile attitudes into his classroom or merely expressed them off campus? Would they say that he had a right to express that type of noxious attitude safely under the umbrella of academic free speech? Could any sentient observer contend that a tenured professor who delved into the perverse intellectual netherworld of neo-Nazism and white supremacism could somehow return to the cocoon of a campus and separate his other life from the person he is when he stands in front of students, helping young minds to thoughtfully explore human thought and achievement?

The answer obviously is that anyone who expressed such feelings in the academic community would be immediately and thoroughly shunned, that his or her actions and speech would be labeled for what they clearly were—repugnant hate speech that has no place on a campus. And when an offense is made to members of one of academia’s favored victim groups, the response is immediate, widespread, and thunderous in its self-righteousness.

Consider what happened at the University of California, San Diego, this March, for example, where the entire campus underwent collective apoplexy over some incendiary racial slurs made by students, not a tenured faculty member, involved in an off-campus fraternity party, the racially-insensitive 'Compton Cookout,' and the discovery of a noose and a roughly-fashioned Ku Klux Klan hood on campus—all of which helped stoke tensions and inflame rage at the perceived racism.

Members of UC San Diego’s Black Student Union wasted no time in drafting a six-page memo for school officials (who eagerly embraced them), in which they itemized a veritable encyclopedia of demands by which, it was felt, the racist climate could be modified. Cries of 'institutionalized racism' and a 'toxic environment' at UCSD were heard. Because the BSU felt that African Americans were being 'racially demoralized,' those demands included, among others, establishing ethnic studies programs, a 'rewrite the Student Code of Conduct,' presumably meaning a speech code that would proscribe certain speech deemed inappropriate by the code’s creators, and, ominously, a mandatory 'diversity sensitivity requirement for every undergraduate student.'

While calling for further investigation into the specific incidents that had sparked the outrage, and promising to identify and punish the perpetrators, embarrassed school officials also met with angry minority students, promised to increase efforts at diversity, pledged more minority faculty hiring and student enrollment, set up psychological counseling facilities, met with community leaders and state officials, and even flew in Berkeley’s law school dean, Christopher Edley, to help arbitrate the situation.

But at Lincoln University, when a tenured professor demonizes Jews, delegitimizes Israel, accuses Zionists and Israelis of treachery, theft, brutality, and pure evil, and calls for the Muslim world to rise up and destroy the Jewish state by any means necessary, the reaction is grotesquely understated. In fact, the final moral call by Lincoln’s administration is that, while Siddique’s views are not in keeping with the university’s sensibilities, at least he keeps his morally-imbecilic views and ideology safely outside the campus walls where, presumably, they cannot infect the minds of students within.

(VIDEO) An Antisemitic Message From A Muslim To All Jews, Christians & Hindus

This video shows the disturbing rantings of an antisemitic / anti-Christian / anti-Hindu Muslim who claims that Jesus was Muslim, that the anti-Christ will be a Jewish Israeli politician, that Adam, Moses, Jesus, Aaron and Noah were all Muslim prophets...

He states that the Torah was changed and corrupted in order for Jews to control Muslims which prevented them from being the only religion in the world amongst the 6 or 7 billion people currently on the planet...

He adds that non-Muslims live to drink alcohol, live for our desires and struggle to survive but Muslims live to die as this place is their prison...

At least the last thing he said sounds about right.

(NEWS) French Priest Delves Into The Evil Of The Holocaust

"Father Patrick Desbois, who researches mass graves of Holocaust victims in former Soviet states, speaks in 2008 at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. He spoke twice on Sept. 27 in West Hartford, first at Northwest Catholic High School and then at the University of Hartford.

WEST HARTFORD – How do you psychologically and emotionally comprehend the genocide of millions of people? The answer is to look upon each death as that of an individual person, someone with a name, a family and a personal story, according to Father Patrick Desbois.

Father Desbois has devoted his life to confronting anti-Semitism and furthering Catholic-Jewish understanding. So it should come as no surprise that he has taken a key interest in the Holocaust of the 1940s.

The French priest is president of the Yahad-in-Unum Association. Since 2001, he has worked with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, using its archives to locate every mass grave and location in Ukraine and Belorussia where Jews were killed by the Nazis during World War II.

Father Desbois has written a book about his endeavors called The Holocaust by Bullets: A Priest’s Journey to Uncover the Truth Behind the Murder of 1.5 Million Jews. He spoke about his efforts on Sept. 27 at Lincoln Theater on the University of Hartford campus.

He also spoke earlier that day to students at Northwest Catholic High School.

A packed house attended his evening talk. Some held up photos of family members and expressed their gratitude to him for finally bringing them answers about the fate of their loved ones. They asked about villages and hamlets and what information he may have found. They jockeyed for position at the end of his talk so that they could shake his hand and thank him for taking on this humanitarian task.

'It’s always like this,' said a museum official who accompanies Father Desbois on his speaking engagements.

The 1.5 million Jews murdered in the former Soviet Union between 1941 and 1944 were among more than six million Jews killed by Nazi Germany during its reign of terror. But the circumstances were different in far Eastern Europe than elsewhere.

Jews in Soviet territories were not sent to concentration camps, where they suffered and died in secret. These Jews were killed in 'mass shootings in their own towns and villages,' said Paul Shapiro, director of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the museum.

They were murdered in the presence of families and friends. Soviet authorities kept records of all of this, but those records were not available until the communist government fell, and even then those documents were not initially trusted because of the Soviet Union’s open practice of anti-Semitism.

Father Desbois found them to be both detailed and reliable and has used them to locate mass graves and, more important, survivors who tell him their stories, which are recorded for posterity and as a teaching tool for future generations.

Father Desbois first became interested in the Holocaust as a child when he learned that his grandfather, a French soldier, had been imprisoned in a forced labor camp in the town of Rava Ruska on the Poland/Ukraine border.

The grandfather 'refused to speak about the camp' and that only piqued his interest more.

His research relies upon four sources of information: German archives, Soviet archives, ballistic studies and eyewitness testimony. There are tens of millions of pages of archives available to him and others through the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

To date, Father Desbois has interviewed 1,550 witnesses, some of whom spoke of what they’d seen for the first time in 60 or more years. He said he is compelled to talk to as many as he can find as quickly as he can because they are elderly and in another five years few will remain.

Asked why he chose to do such work, he cited the biblical story of Cain and Abel and God’s dismay at a man’s killing his brother and trying to keep it a secret.

'We cannot build a modern world above hundreds of mass graves' without acknowledging what happened and remembering the people who were killed, he said.

In one village, the Germans shot and killed 1,500 people in a single day and 18,000 overall. Because the soldiers were told to ration their ammunition and limit themselves to one bullet per Jew, those who were wounded but not killed were buried alive. Eyewitnesses told him that in one instance, a mass grave moved for three days as these people slowly perished.

'We knock on every door' to ask for information and the location of eyewitnesses to these atrocities, he said. 'The challenge is to collect evidence.'

Father Desbois travels with a nine-member team, including two armed bodyguards. There are those in the villages who do not welcome his presence because they collaborated in the killings.

Not only were Jews killed in the villages, but their clothing and possessions were taken from them and sold at auction. Children were removed from classrooms and shot.

There are no memorials to these people, no stones on their graves. The graves he finds are mapped and catalogued but left unmarked so that grave robbers don’t dig up the bodies to extract the gold from the victims’ teeth.

'Many mass graves are in private gardens,' he said. Others are in forests or fields just outside of the towns. They are bucolic settings, bearing no visible evidence of what lies beneath the soil.

Father Desbois began his work in this field 10 years ago. He has followed this path in cooperation with French Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, a Jewish convert to Catholicism, and the World Jewish Congress.

If Catholics see Jews as brothers in faith, then he believes 'we have to pass from discourse to action.'

(BLOG) Methodists: Targeting Israel

"By Mark Tooley: Minnesota Methodists, having decided that slamming Israel is central to their mission, have released a new special curriculum called 'Palestine/Israel: Advocating for a Just & Lasting Peace.'

The 7.8 million member United Methodist Church’s Minnesota Annual Conference is one of the denomination’s most left-leaning and consequently fastest declining regions. It’s lost over 20 percent of membership just in the last decade and is now down to about 70,000 United Methodists in Minnesota. Evangelizing and reversing this membership decline might have been a logical response. But instead, the elites of Minnesota Methodism evidently believe that targeting Israel for ongoing condemnation is more urgent. Generously, they are disseminating their anti-Israel study guide across the denomination nationwide.

'We invite you to join us in a lifetime of learning, of experiencing spiritual vitality, and of an exhilarating way of life as you find yourself making a difference for peace,' chirpily chimes the new website of Minnesota Methodism’s 'Palestine Israel Justice Project' (PIJP). The endeavor evidently traces back to 2001, when Methodist missionaries in 'Palestine' challenged their Midwestern brothers and sisters to a 'peace for Palestine' movement in Minnesota.

PIJP’s September 'prayer' alert for Minnesota Methodism encapsulated the project’s anti-Israel flavor. 'We pray that we might be able to put ourselves in the place of Palestinians who cannot report to their work place because of 30 foot walls, permanent and temporary check-points,' the Minnesota Methodists plead, without also praying they might understand Israelis who still struggle for their nation’s survival after over 60 years. But the Minnesota Methodists did pray that 'Israeli Jews will heed the warning of the Hebrew prophets that ‘Zion’ will be wrested away from them in the wake of perpetual injustice.' Is there any possibility that Palestinians don’t fully have their own nation because of their own 'injustice' in not wanting to live besides Israel? If so, it’s unmentioned in this prayer. At least the 'prayer' did cite the 'negative persistence of Hamas,' in the context of praying for the 'integrity of Palestinian peace efforts.'

Predictably, PIJP justifies its anti-Israel animosity by citing the voices of Palestinian Christians, who comprise a tiny minority of Palestinian Christians and whose public voices, whether from conviction or self-survival, are habitually anti-Israel and uncritical of the Palestinian Authority. 'The curriculum raises the voices and concerns of Palestinian Christians,' explains Minnesota United Methodist Bishop Sally Dyck in her introduction to the PIJP study guide. 'Why wouldn’t we listen to the voices of our own Christian brothers and sisters, even if their perspectives might be different from ours or challenge us to see this part of the world from their eyes?' Convenient primarily as a talking point against Israel, Palestinian Christians are virtually the only struggling Christian community in the world of persistent interest to the Religious Left.

Occasionally striving for impartiality through 'discussion questions,' the PIJP study guide still can’t help itself by asking, in loaded fashion, about the 'inherent injustices' with the United Nations 1947 partition of Palestine and about the 'ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homeland.' It also asks about the 'so-called ‘peace process’' in Oslo in 1993 creating Palestinian self-rule that 'discouraged Palestinians.' One question simply could not hold back by asking: 'Why is the notion of a Palestinian government (in the form of the Palestinian Authority) under Israeli occupation an absurd idea?' Less judgmentally, the PIJP refers without comment to the Second Intifada of 2000, laconically noting that 'suicide bombing began,' which was a 'violent form of resistance that had not existed in past acts of resistance.'

The Methodist PIJP study guide devotes a couple sections to international laws, which, naturally, argue only against Israeli 'violations against Palestinian lives' and seemingly are not concerned about Palestinian actions, like suicide bombing. Indeed, international law apparently speaks only to Israel’s 'eviction' of Palestinians, to Israel’s blockade against Hamas-controlled Gaza, to Israel’s supposedly wanton destruction of Palestinian homes, to Israel’s purportedly unjust arrest of Palestinians, and to the restrictions and inconveniences created by Israel’s security wall.

'Why should we care?' the student guide asked in its conclusion. PIJP’s study guide’s suggested responses include: 'Injustice is being served; 'Our tax dollars pay for this;' 'God commands us to love justice;' and [Methodism founder] 'John Wesley implores us to do good and be involved in social concerns.' Various Scriptures about justice are cited, as are some Wesley quotes about 'social holiness' and 'doing good.' Ostensibly these general quotes are the theological justification for Methodists specifically to villainize Israel and wholeheartedly endorse Palestinian liberation irrespective of consequences.

PIJP’s study guide encourages Methodists to connect with radical anti-Israel groups like Sabeel and read Jimmy Carter’s infamous Peace Not Apartheid. Support for Methodist missionary in 'Israel/Palestine' Alex Awad is also urged. A steadfast political activist for Palestinian advocacy, Awad was recently cited by Fred Barnes in The Weekly Standard for declaring his own preference for Islamic Law in place of Israel’s 'occupation.'

There seems to be no mention in PIJP’s study guide of Islamic Law and its impact on Christians. In his Weekly Standard piece, Barnes mentioned visiting a Christian orphanage on the West Bank, where babies and children go unadopted because Islamic Law bans Christian adoption, but Muslim culture is uncomfortable with adoption. What other aspects of Sharia would the Rev. Awad and the Minnesota Methodists prefer to any continued Israeli influence over the West Bank?
Suggestions from 'Palestine/Israel: Advocating for a Just & Lasting Peace,' if treated seriously, would not result in either peace or justice. But Minnesota Methodists, or at least their elites, are maybe searching for a distraction from their sad decline, rather than any serious advocacy of a realistic peace in the Middle East." (source)
