(VIDEO) Northern Israel Called "1948 Lands" & "Occupied Territories" On PA TV Kids Program
A children's program on official Palestinian Authority television presents Northern Israel to Palestinian children as "occupied territories" and "1948 lands."
A recent episode of The Best Home on PA TV takes a group of children on a trip to Tiberias and the Galilee in Northern Israel. During a break, the kids are told that they are on "occupied land" and "1948 land," the PA's way to describe all of Israel as "occupied" since its founding in 1948. The children are never told they are in Israel, and when referring to places in Israel, the PA TV host says "How beautiful our land is."
In the Golan Heights, the children are told by the Israeli-Arab guide that they are "at the exact border between Palestine and Syria," again portraying a world in which Israel doesn't exist and is replaced by "Palestine."
As Palestinian Media Watch has reported, teaching children that all of Israel is "Palestine," "1948 lands" and "occupied territories" is an essential component of the PA's education to deny Israel's legitimacy and existence. PA-controlled media and Palestinian academics likewise routinely refer to all of Israel, including such Israeli cities as Jaffa and Haifa, as Palestinian cities, or as "occupied."

(VIDEO) Released Palestinian Prisoner Says Prisoners "Lack Nothing" In Israeli Prisons
The PA is intensifying its longstanding libel campaign, falsely accusing Israel of conducting horrific Nazi-like medical experiments on prisoners. These lies include stories that prisoners are used as “guinea pigs for clinical testing of drugs and treatment-methods" and “inmates received injections … which caused their hair and facial hair to fall out permanently ... others lost their sanity… some are suffering from infertility."
These libels are essential tools to demonize Israel using the highly sensitive subject of Palestinian prisoners.
Contrary to the PA libel that Israel performs these experiments and tortures Palestinian prisoners, this former prisoner explains that the prisoners in Israeli prisons "lack nothing":
PA TV Host: "You were in Megiddo [prison]. How are the guys?
You were released from prison just today."
Prisoner: "By Allah, the guys in the prison are fine. They lack nothing. They are doing fine."
Host: "Do they lack nothing?"
Prisoner: "They are doing really fine."
Host: "They lack nothing, not even freedom?"
Prisoner: "No. Freedom, Allah willing, there will be freedom."
Host: "How long were you in prison?"
Prisoner: "Two years."
Host: "And you say that they lack nothing?"

"Libelous drawings depicting fictitious 'Israeli torture' are part of the new introduction to a PA TV program for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons and their families.
Purporting to show how Palestinian prisoners are tortured by Israel, the drawings portray Israeli prison guards:
1- Burning into a prisoner's chest with a hot iron;
2- Drilling a hole through a prisoner's hand;
3- Burning into a prisoner's shoulder with a soldering iron;
4- Whipping a prisoner while hanging him by his feet ;
5- Squeezing a prisoner's head in a medieval looking head press;
6- Chopping off a prisoner's arm below the elbow;
7- Hanging a prisoner by his arms while chains pull from his chest and neck.
Broadcast twice a week, the program For You is aimed at Palestinians imprisoned for terror offenses in Israeli prisons, where they watch the program. It includes footage from the prisoners' home villages and interviews with their family members, who send them televised messages.
PA TV is controlled by the office of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
It should be noted that no accusations about this kind of treatment have ever been made against Israel by the International Red Cross, by human rights groups or by Palestinian prisoners themselves.
In a striking irony, in the same week that the PA started to disseminate these libelous drawings on TV, an article in the official PA daily indicated that the prisons are very different than these libels portray. It stated that Palestinian prisoners are given educational opportunities. The PA daily celebrated how 'prisoners in occupation [Israeli] prisons complete university studies and obtain MA and Ph.D. degrees,' and proudly cited that 'since 2000 more than 10,000 Palestinian prisoners have attained matriculation certificates while still in the occupation prisons.' [Transcript below]
Another testimony corroborating the fact that prisoners are well treated in Israeli prisons came from a Palestinian prisoner interviewed on the For You program the day he was released from prison. The PA TV host was trying to have him express criticism of prison conditions, and repeatedly asked him about prison. The prisoner kept answering that prisoners 'lack nothing' in the Israeli prisons:

Since its inception, the PA has been rewriting the history of Zionism, teaching that the Jews came to Israel not because of their historical ties to the land, but because Europe wanted to be rid of 'the burden of its Jews,' [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 12, 1998] and 'wanted to get rid of the Jews and their problems,' [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 15, 2009].
This message has appeared again in a PA TV history program, Witnesses and Testimonies. The program featured two Jordanian academics, who explained that the Jews' behavior had been 'harmful' to Europeans because of the Jews' 'great love of money.' They cited Shakespeare's fictitious character, the moneylender Shylock, as proof of this 'harmful' Jewish trait.
'This is how they harmed the societies that embraced them,' one of the academics explained.
As Palestinian Media Watch has reported, the idea that Jews were a threat to every nation in which they lived, and therefore had to be expelled, is an essential concept in the Palestinian Authority's denial of the Jewish connection to Israel, and the denial of Israel's right to exist.
According to this historical revision, Jews never had a history in Israel and would therefore never have created and supported the Zionist movement. In order to explain the Jewish ties to Israel, the PA claims that the Jews were so despised and were such a threat to every country in which they lived that the European nations sent their Jews to Israel to be free of the Jewish 'burden.'
PA TV is controlled by the office of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
Jordanian academic Arafat Hijazi:
'150 years ago, when there were no Jews in Palestine, the Jews were in Europe, in Eastern Europe, but the Jews suffered from persecution by the European nations. The reason was that they would harm the people of the lands in which they lived. They had a problem: Wherever they went, they were expelled, and were imprisoned.'
Jordanian academic Muhammad Dohal:
'The Jews are hated in every society in which they have lived, because of their behavior relating to their great love of money. Their behavior led to [Shakespeare's] famous story, the story of Shylock about money lending, which clings to the Jews. This is how they harmed the societies that embraced them.'" (source)

"During the month of Ramadan, PA TV broadcast a special daily quiz program from refugee camps in Lebanon and in Syria, in which residents were asked to name five cities 'in Palestine' or 'the countries sharing borders with Palestine' in order to win $100 cash prizes. The PA TV host gave cash prizes to those who defined Israeli cities such as Jaffa, Haifa, Acre, Ramle, and others as Palestinian cities and to those who disregarded the existence of Israel as a neighboring country. Referring to Israel, the host said, 'All of Palestine is occupied.'

(NEWS) Abbas: "If All Of You [Arab States] Will Fight Israel, We Are In Favor"
"The official Palestinian Authority daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, reports that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said that he supports negotiations with Israel today because it is the only option. However, as to the military option, Abbas said: 'If you [Arab states] want war, and if all of you will fight Israel, we are in favor. But the Palestinians will not fight alone because they don't have the ability to do it.'"
