"Shalit family, activists reach northern city of Yokneam on fourth day of protest march. Mayor urges PM Netanyahu to strike deal securing kidnapped soldier's return
Thousands of people joined the family of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit and members of the campaign for his release on the fourth day of their protest march. Waving flags of Israel, the marchers walked along the route connecting the Yagur Junction to the northern city of Yokneam.
Upon their arrival in the city, the activists held a short ceremony. In his speech, Yokneam Mayor Simon Alfassi urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to strike a deal which would secure the captive's release."
