(NEWS) 'Egypt Is Seeking A Cell Of 7 Terrorists In Sinai'

"Security sources in Sinai tell Ma'an that terrorists are attempting to attack Israel, may have already entered the Gaza Strip.

Egypt stepped up its efforts to catch a cell of seven terrorists that a source in the Egyptian security services said was trying to enter the Gaza Strip in order to carry out attacks on Israel, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported Friday evening.

According to the report, the wanted terrorists are affiliated with the 25 members of a terror cell that Egypt arrested on Thursday."

"Travel warning issued by PM's office; information received suggests plans to kidnap Israelis vacationing in the area.

A travel warning was issued late Thursday by the Israeli Prime Minister's office, calling on Israelis in Sinai to leave and return to Israel straight away.

The warning quoted 'reliable and current intelligence' about a kidnapping plot and called on 'all Israelis in Sinai to leave immediately and return to Israel.'"

"Palestinian news agency reports terror cell planned to carry out attacks on Israeli tourists in Sinai peninsula.

Egyptian security forces on Thursday arrested 25 members of a terror cell who allegedly intended to carry out attacks on Israeli tourists in Sinai, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

The terrorists were residents of the Egyptian cities of El-Arish, Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah, according to the report."

"Egyptian security services receive information that terror activists have managed to infiltrate peninsula from Gaza, plan to fire rockets into Israel. Security boosted in border area.

Egypt's security forces on Sunday declared a heightened state of alert in Sinai after receiving information that members of Palestinian organizations, who infiltrated the peninsula from the Gaza Strip, were planning to fire rockets at Israel in the coming days.

Palestinian news agency Maan reported that according to the information received, the Palestinian elements have already infiltrated the Egyptian territory. According to other sources, however, those terror activists have yet to cross the Gaza-Egypt border."





(NEWS) Egypt Finds More Weapons In Sinai

"Report: 110 anti-aircraft missiles, over 100kg explosives found.

Egyptian security forces on Sunday found an additional five missile and TNT caches in Sinai that were planned to be smuggled into Gaza, Palestinian news Agency Ma'an reported.

According to the report Egyptian forces found 110 antiaircraft missiles, over 100kg of explosives material.

The report comes a day after Egyptian authorities intercepted a shipment of at least 190 anti-aircraft missiles in Sinai."





(NEWS) Egypt Arrests Men Who Planned Sharm El-Sheikh Terror Attacks

"London-based Arabic newspaper says Sinai Bedouins apprehended three men in vehicle containing bomb-making equipment a few days before rocket attack on Eilat.

Five days prior to last week's rocket attack on Eilat and the Jordanian port city of Aqaba, three people were arrested in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula for allegedly planning to carry out terror attacks in Sharm el-Sheikh, the London-based Arabic newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat reported Sunday.

The three were detained while travelling in a vehicle containing bomb-making equipment and explosives, the report said."



(NEWS) Jordanian Man Dies In Rocket Attack On Eilat Area

"Defense sources believe 6 Iranian-made Katyushas fired from Sinai.

Jordan condemned Monday the firing of a rocket that struck near the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba in which a Jordanian man was killed and four others were injured. The rocket was one of six which struck the area, including a second rocket in Jordan, one near Eilat, two in the Red Sea and one in the Sinai Peninsula.

In a statement released by the Jordanian Information Ministry the rocket attack was called a 'terror attack.' Jordan promised to continue in its war against terror."
